What to Expect
- Mild Redness or Swelling: Common at injection sites, usually subsides within a few hours to a day.
- Small Bumps or Dots: May be visible at injection sites, typically resolving within 15-30 minutes.
- Tenderness: Mild tenderness at the injection sites is possible for a day or two.
- Bruising: Possible, though usually minimal, lasting 3-7 days if it occurs.
- Headache: Some individuals may experience a mild headache, which should resolve within 24-48 hours.
- Onset of Effect: Results typically begin to appear in 3-7 days,
Post-Care Instructions
Temperature & Activity
- No strenuous exercise (HIIT, running, or intense workout) for 24 hours. Lifting weights and walking is okay.
- Skip sauna/steam rooms for 24 hrs
- Avoid NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin, Aleve) and alcohol for 24 hours to minimize bruising risk (unless prescribed by your doctor for a medical condition). Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is generally okay if needed for discomfort.
- Avoid Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, and other essential fatty acids for 3 days post-treatment if prone to bruising.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 24-48 hours, or until any initial redness and swelling have subsided.
- Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily.
Hands-Off and Hats-Off
- Do NOT rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for at least 6-8 hours. This is to prevent the product from spreading to unintended muscles.
- Avoid wearing tight hats, headbands, or eyewear that puts pressure on treated areas for the first day.
Extras
- Cryotherapy: Not for 24 hrs
- Red-Light Therapy: Good any time
- Facials: Not for 24 hrs
- Laser/IPL: Not for 7–14 days
- Makeup: You can apply makeup a few hours after treatment if the skin is not irritated, but be gentle.
Healing Support
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water.
- Avoid alchohol and excessive caffein or high sodium foods for 24-48 hours.
- Allow up to 14 days to see the full effects.
- Schedule a follow-up appointment as recommended by your injector, typically around 2 weeks after your first treatment, to assess results.
- Contact SOKO immediately if you experience:
- Significant eyelid drooping or difficulty swallowing/speaking.
- Signs of infection (increasing pain, warmth, pus, fever).
- Any visual disturbances.
- Severe or worsening swelling or bruising.
Post Care FAQ
When can I wear make up or wash my face? After a couple of hours—be gentle around injection sites.
What if I bruise? Ice + Arnica/bromelain and eat fresh pineapple. Stay away from all blood thinning products including NSAIDs, omegas, fish oil, turmeric and Nutrafol, or it will prolong bruising.
How long do the treatment effects last? 3 months typically but up to 4 months. It gradually wears off starting at the 4 to 8 weeks post injections, depending on your metabolism.
