Post-Care: RF Microneedling(M8)

Face, Neck, Décolleté

Post‑Care

Day 0 (0–24 hours)
  • What is Normal: Expect intense redness, swelling, and a sensation of deep warmth or a mild sunburn. Pinpoint bleeding, minor bruising, and a faint grid-like pattern on the skin are entirely normal.

  • Soothe & Protect: Keep the skin completely clean. Do not apply any at-home skincare products, makeup, or ointments today. The only topicals safe for your skin today are the professional Ariessence™ Pure PDGF+ or Plated™ Exosomes applied immediately post-treatment by your SOKO provider to accelerate cellular healing and amplify your results.

  • Sun Protection: Maintain strict sun avoidance. Because you cannot wear sunscreen today, stay indoors or wear a wide-brimmed physical hat and sunglasses if you must step outside.

⚠️ Critical Hygiene Rules (First 48 Hours): To protect your open micro-channels from bacteria, you must strictly follow these rules at home:

  • Sanitize Touchpoints: Wipe down anything that will directly encounter your face—including your cell phone, the nose pieces/stems of your glasses, and the inside brim of hats—with rubbing alcohol.

  • Pet Boundaries: Do not allow household pets to lick, rub against, or sleep near your face or neck.

  • No Aerosols: Avoid using hairsprays, perfume mists, dry shampoos, or spray deodorants near your face.

  • Heat & Sweat: Avoid excessive heat, hot tubs, saunas, or steam rooms for 72 hours. Light exercise is fine, but do not overdo it. Keep your skin cool and avoid any friction or rubbing.

  • Linen Hygiene: Place a completely fresh, clean pillowcase on your bed the first night. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap before touching your face. When washing your face for the first time on Day 2, use a fresh, clean towel to gently pat dry.

Day 1 to Day 2 (24–48 Hours)
    • Cleanse & Moisturize: You may begin a very gentle fingertip cleanse using a bland, non-active cleanser and lukewarm water. Gently pat dry with a clean towel. Apply a clinic-approved bland moisturizer or barrier cream to soothe tightness. You may repeat this moisturizing step 2 to 4 times a day as your skin drinks up hydration.

    • Sunscreen Note: Continue to avoid direct sun and increase your fluid intake. Do not apply sunscreen until a full 48 hours have passed to ensure your micro-channels are fully sealed.

Day 3 to Day 7 (Post-48 Hours)
  • Sunscreen: You can now safely begin applying a mineral, broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily. A mineral-tinted SPF is highly encouraged and perfectly safe to use. Reapply frequently if outdoors.

  • Makeup: You may resume makeup on Day 3 if your skin is calm, dry, and intact. You must thoroughly wash your makeup brushes and applicators before using them for the first time. Use light mineral makeup only.

  • Actives Restriction: Keep all retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, alcohol-based toners, and cleansing brushes off your skin for at least 5 to 7+ days. Re-introduce them gradually only when the skin is fully settled and there is no remaining evidence of the treatment. Avoid any abrasive exfoliation products or services until healing is complete.

Weeks 2–3
  • Continue sun‑smart habits.
  • Avoid strong peels, microderm, and other energy devices in the same area for ~2–4 weeks unless instructed otherwise.
Area‑Specific Notes
  • Face / Neck / Jawline: Swelling is highly common, particularly around the delicate eye area and along the jawline, peaking between 24 and 72 hours. Sleep with your head elevated on an extra pillow the first few nights to encourage lymphatic drainage.

  • Periorbital / Eyelids (Prime Tips): Expect significant eye puffiness. You are encouraged to begin applying a gentle eye cream starting at 24 hours post-treatment. If your eyes feel dry, scratchy, or irritated, use preservative-free lubricating eye drops.

  • Beard Areas: Avoid shaving for at least 72 hours. When you resume shaving, use a brand-new, sterile razor blade and gentle, light strokes.

  •
Optional Topical Add‑Ins (If Purchased)
  • Ariessence™ Pure PDGF+ or Plated™ serums may be applied in‑clinic if your provider approves, or started at ≥24 hours once skin is clean and calm. Avoid strong actives while using.
Spacing & Injectables Timeline
  • The Series: For optimal skin transformation, a series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart is highly suggested. Results typically build progressively; you will begin to see major visible progress after your 2nd treatment, with results peaking at 9 months as deep collagen matures. Maintenance sessions are recommended every 6 to 12 months.

  • Injectables: To ensure safe tissue healing, allow at least 1 week of clearance around neuromodulator (Botox) injections and 2 to 4 weeks around dermal fillers in the same target zone.
